This is the recent project for Philips’ new Lumea hair removal device. The core concept was to depict the gentle process of removing hair roots through light treatment. The main challenge was to portray the treatment gently, yet effective, and all in a spa-like scenario.

How to portray the skin and product
The main challenge in this project was how to portray the skin and hairs in an artistically and visually appealing way. To achieve this, we decided to use atmospheric lighting that will enhance the atmosphere of intimacy. In this way, the viewer's eyes are focused on this dreamlike aesthetic.
When working on this project, I was mainly using Houdini and Redshift. During the concepting stage I was designing the lookdevs in Nuke, After Effects and Photoshop.
